Free Initial Consultation

Our initial design meeting is a consultation where you can meet DBI and vice versa. This provides us with an opportunity to look at your space, discuss budgets, and timing to see if we are a fit.

As Built Floor Plans

Many clients have no floor plan to start with. DBI will survey your space and the as built conditions, enter it into CAD, and provide you with a to scale floor plan and square footage as a start point for your project.

Programming, Test Fits, & Schematic Floor Plans

DBI can provide you with design options for a space showing different layouts and feature elements based upon your requirements. We can survey the space for input into CAD or work with an existing scaled floorplan or .dwg file if available.

Finish Selections

Both a desired aesthetic as well as function should determine finishes. DBI will provide you with suggestions and options that will be appropriate for your space, desired aesthetic, and budget.

Furniture Selections

Commercial spaces require furniture with higher durability than the standard residential application requires. DBI will provide you with suggestions and options that will be applicable to your needs, desired aesthetic and budget. Additional services of bid preparation & analysis for commercial furniture packages and artwork/accessories selections are also offered.

Design Development & Construction Documents

Once all the details are finalized and documented, the result is a set of plans called CDs. CDs are the plans that contractors will price from and will ultimately build the project from in the end. DBI has strong relationships with local partnering architects who can review, sign & seal plans should you require those services.

My Philosophy

"With over 20 years experience in the business, I view the interior design process as entering into a relationship. When a client entrusts their space to me - it doesn't get more personal than that.  I respect that trust and will treat your project as if it were my own. From the first meeting to discuss your goals and budgets to the placement of the last chair, we will exchange numerous emails, texts, phone calls over the course of your project.  I have an extremely hands on approach to design and the payoff for me is seeing the completed project and the smiles on my clients faces".
